AAIHR Membership
Code of Ethics and Best Practices
AAIHR members agree to abide by the association’s Code of Ethics and Best Practices.
Any violation of the code may result in the loss of AAIHR membership.
Membership
The American Association of International Healthcare Recruitment (AAIHR) was formed primarily to advance
the mission and represent the interests of organizations whose primary business is the provision of international
recruitment and staffing services for US healthcare organizations. However, the association wants to include
as associate members, organizations that share these interests and provide value to the association and its members.
Membership Year
Membership is based on the calendar year Jan. 1 to Dec. 31.
Qualifications for Membership
To be eligible for membership in AAIHR, a firm must be a separately identifiable
entity that meets the requirements for membership as defined below. No firm shall be
eligible for AAIHR membership unless AAIHR dues as prescribed in these bylaws are paid.
Classes of Membership
There shall be two classes of membership; Regular and Associate Members.
Regular Member
To be eligible for membership as a Regular Member in the Association, a firm must
derive revenue from providing international recruitment, placement, or staffing services
to US healthcare organizations. Regular Members are entitled to vote in the affairs of the
Association, to serve as directors or officers, and to be counted toward a quorum at any
meeting of the membership. Each Regular Member shall have only one vote regardless of the
number of branches, licensees, or similar businesses it operates. Whether an applicant or
member is a “separately identifiable entity that provides international recruitment, placement
or staffing services to US healthcare organizations,” within the meaning of this section,
shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
Associate Member
Organizations that do not qualify as Regular Members, but who are interested
in or supportive of the mission and goals of the association may join as Associate
Members, subject to the approval of the Board of Directors, and subject to a separate
dues structure as set by the Board. Associate members shall not be entitled to vote
in the affairs of the Association or to serve as a director or officer, but shall
otherwise enjoy the same privileges as that enjoyed by active and affiliate members.
Membership Dues
• Association dues for Regular Members $500
• Association dues for Associate Members $350
Government Relations Fees
Through AAIHR, member organizations are encouraged to contribute
annually to the association’s governmental relations initiative. Recommended
contributions are based of the financial resources of the member firm and the nature of the services
they provide.
• Direct placement companies recommended contribution $1000 to $2500
• Contract staffing companies recommended contribution $2500 to $4000
• Associate members are encouraged to contribute as much as they are financially able
Tax Deductions
Dues and other contributions or gifts to AAIHR are not tax deductible as charitable
contributions; however, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business
expenses. Federal tax law disallows deductions related to certain types of lobbying
and political activities. Some portion of the amount you contribute toward Government
Relations may be deductible as a business expense for federal tax purposes. Please
check with your tax advisor for clarification.
