The American Association of International Healthcare Recruitment (AAIHR) was formed primarily to advance the mission and represent the interests of organizations that participate directly in recruitment and staffing of foreign-educated healthcare professionals for employment with U.S. healthcare organizations.

AAIHR member organizations consist of a variety of organizations that either directly recruit foreign-trained healthcare professionals or provide services and support to the healthcare professionals or the organizations that recruit and/or employ them.

AAIHR Members are among the leading organizations in international healthcare recruitment.

Qualifications for Membership

To be eligible for membership in AAIHR, a firm must be a separately identifiable entity that meets the requirements for membership as defined below. AAIHR members must also agree to abide by the association’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice standards.

Membership Classes

Regular Members are direct hire recruiting organizations, temporary or contract staffing firms, and healthcare provider organizations that recruit foreign-educated healthcare professionals for US employment and subscribe to the AAIHR Code of Ethics and professional practice standards.  Regular Members are entitled to vote in the affairs of the Association, to serve as directors or officers, and to be counted toward a quorum at any meeting of the membership. Each Regular Member shall have only one vote regardless of the number of branches, licensees, or similar businesses it operates.

Associate Members
are organizations that are supportive of the mission and goals of the association, and assist or support member organizations in the recruiting, screening, testing, training, credentialing, sponsoring, relocation, resettlement, and employment of foreign-educated healthcare professionals or that may otherwise provide value to the association. Associate members shall not be entitled to vote in the affairs of the Association or to serve as a director or officer, but shall otherwise enjoy the same privileges as that enjoyed by Regular Members.
